Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Poses are held for 2-10 minutes to target these connective tissues and denser layers of the body and to give us a chance to settle into stillness. It is in the stillness we can watch the magic happen! In this class, we will focus on muladhara and svadisthana, our energetic centers that house sensuality, intimacy, desire, control, and emotional expression. Physically we will open our hips and legs allowing us to sit still undisturbed. And mentally, we will calm and clear which will allow us to tune in. Find your passion and flow with it.
